Emily’s Garden – Adventures in Duckling Park
Tommy, Karrie and Lettuce set off on a new adventure. The three sneak on to a trailer and head to Duckling Park. Tommy again tries to encourage the other two to do lots of things. But he doesn’t always get his own way. Who does he meet? And does he tell the girls? Each of the three characters come alive with their own personalities. Tommy, cheeky and up for anything, Lettuce so cute and cuddly, Karrie very bossy. But they all look after each other, no matter what they get up to. Emily’s grandparents agree to take two of Emily’s friends along. The family enjoy a lovely trip to the seaside. A lovely warmth comes across between the grandparents and all three of the children. An old fashioned story that hopefully reminds us of the holidays we had when we were young. Duckling Park an adventure for all. Where will they be off next?
Watch out for the next story in Emily’s Garden.

The engaging characters will have you in fits of giggles with their frantic antics at the local village fête.
The characters are beautifully illustrated and add to this fun first read in the series devised by Debbie and inspired by Emily, whose brief life has given joy and hope to the families suffering from the effects of Trisomy 18 and other life-limiting disorders.
The Village Fête is a story about three little friends who live in the bottom of Emily’s Granny’s garden, hidden away in a old wooden box. Tommy loves to take the girls on adventures, even when they are not too keen. They manage to travel to exciting places through Tommy’s ingenuity.
Just how does he manage to get all over the place without being seen? The three characters come alive with their own individual personalities.
They watch Emily from afar but are always a part of her life, even if she is unaware of them. Or does she know that they are there? And will she ever meet them?
The book shows the relationship that Emily has with her Grandparents. The love that she has for her grumpy Grandad is unreserved and he makes her smile.
An old fashioned book which is fun for children to read.
And lots more adventures to come in the series…
Dedication
I lost the most amazing person; she was my best friend; she was my Mum. For three years she battled bravely against cancer. Throughout that time she always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. My book was inspired from the stories my Mum told to me when I was small. I was transported into the most wonderful world and through Emily’s Garden I can keep her stories alive. In February 2012 my granddaughter Emily was born with Trisomy 18. She battled with life and survived 26 days. This amazing little girl achieved more in that short time than most people do in a life time. This book is a tribute to them both. Loving you millions.
