Jeneane Hobby
Jeneane has been writing for as long as she can remember. At about the age of eight she rewrote Jules Verne’s ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth,’ being hopelessly in love with Axel after listening to a radio serialisation. She has spent most of her life dabbling in writing but began entering competitions in 2007. Since the Canterbury earthquakes she has taken steps towards writing seriously. She has a Diploma in Editing from NZIBS and following local competition successes had her first piece of short fiction published by Mardibooks in the Magical Journeys collection’Morocco’ after a writing retreat in 2018. Jeneane has two adult daughters and lives on the land her parents chose when they settled in New Zealand. Here she follows her other interest – and first trade – gardening.
